Teenager denies golf club theft
A 19-year-old man yesterday denied stealing a woman’s handbag containing a wallet worth €150, €100 in cash and a €200 Nokia mobile phone from the Marsa Sports Club.
Kersten Catania, of Marsa, is accused of stealing the items from the golf house locker room on December 17, sometime between 4 and 6 p.m.
He also denied damaging CCTV cameras and a locker and relapsing.
Mr Catania was allegedly caught on CCTV entering the building.
Magistrate Antonio Mizzi granted the accused bail against a personal guarantee of €5,000.
Police Inspector Sandra Zammit prosecuted. Lawyers Franco Debono and Marion Camilleri were defence counsel.

A pity they didn't have CCTV years ago. I bought a pair of expensive leather sandals; the first day I wore them I went to the club to play a round of golf and left them in the changing room.
I never saw them again!
