I have to agree with you Mr Pussy Wagon (great name by the way!)

My Melita internet is superb and the customer service I've received has always been first class.

I do miss Living TV and Comedy Central very very much though. Their "replacement" Melita More could be so much better.

The programmes on More are OK - nothing special mind you - but the scheduling, promotion and channel branding (or lack of it) is poor.

Yes me too i have no problems with Melita service if only one can approach the help desk with a bit of mannerism and respect, i have been with melita for nearly 8 years now since we moved from Holland and believe me i have never ever been let down i have always had good service, ok now and then we had some teething problems but they were all rectify by their engineers, although i only use the internet as we don't need Maltese tv, we use the Sat. and the hello phone (need new software for the pre-paid card by the way as it doesn't always work) so i applied also for Go telephone connections which they charged me 54euros i believe, and a transfer with Melita was absolutly FREE, yet GO charged me for a transfer fee, this is what i call service. OH by the way i know Pussy Wagon its not a he its a she. Personally i will stick to Melita but then again thats my choice and its a free country YES? Conclusion:::: i have likewise no problems with melita.

And risk a law suit from a passer-by should the thing hit his head??
Just call them and get the service cancelled. Granted it takes months and many calls and you HAVE to document the day you cancel the service as they will do their utmost to keep you on their books but once it's done, you'll feel much better and way less homicidal :)

Pierre Micallef Grimaud how can you and others be fooled by Melita when you see so many negative remarks about them?

@Joshua Valletta - at least Melita should have the decency to inform its customers and explain accordingly - that is how serious companies treats its clients. I can understand that problems do crop up from time to time......................

I say Fenech MD compensation from the Maltese, pull t'other sunshine,no chance the maltese grabs your money with both hands with a grin on their faces, but asking for compensation, well then that doesn't exsit on the islands, still backwards in that respect, might be in europe, but they sure have alot to learn from us more educated and advanced Northerners.

@ C. Borg
If you were so unhappy with Melita's service how come you subscribed to their latest and most expensive TV service - HD?
I have their HD box but I wouldn't have got it had I not been happy with the basic service...which I am..... unlike when I was with their blessed competition.

Melita is hopeless when it comes to customer service not just on TV. I experienced the worst nightmare last year and am happy not to have a TV rather than get their 'service'. What a disgrace.

If you actually receive the bill at your own house it would already be an improvement. Mine were usually sent to someone else!!

try to switch to GO and you think you will get a better service!!! ask the residents in the gzira and san gwann area about their tv reception!!!

Last year I subscribed to the HD services but recently I have had to "downgrade" to the digital decoder as I was not happy at all with the HD - system breakdown for no apparent reason and very user unfriendly. I think if one switches to GO nothing will improve as we have a duopoly system. what we need is a another service provider perhaps two and all this scenario would change. How about Vodafone and the State TV?
