I think we are coming to a point where Malta would benefit if we introduce the NATIONAL SERVICE as they had in Britain. I believe it was this National Service for youths between the age of 18 and 25 that made the British Empire. When they took it off circa 1958, Britain went to the dogs. Just check when British youths statred going out of hand to lead to footbal hooliganism, London killings, and other behaviour. Interesting enough when Britain decided that it would not put its prisoners on home grounds but sent them over to Australia , these free uncontrollled British citizens decided that " Abo huntining" was the noblestof pleasures!!!
They who do not know how to control their own freedom and liberty, land into diverse problems, Only this week in additional to this news we had the loss of a beautiful well off woman who did not know what to do with herself except, drinking, have drug problems and another who could not fill her time except forcing others to admire her, we had 31 schoolgirl mothers, Contraband diesel runners. The only man in his senses this week was Thomas Cremona who applied himself so admirably,Prosit Thomas!.
