Malta, Albania agree to protect investment

Malta has signed a protocol agreement with Albania for the readmission of people living illegally in the two countries.

The agreement was signed by Foreign Affairs Minister Tonio Borg during a recent visit to Tirana where he met President Bamir Topi, Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Speaker Jozefina Topalli and Foreign Minister Edmond Haxhinasto.

An investment protection agreement was also signed and it was agreed that more talks would be held on tourism and education, the ministry said.

Dr Borg also met Maltese Bishop George Frendo and Maltese members of the Society for Christian Doctrine known as MUSEUM in Krcia and Durres.
