Birdlife Malta’s Simar Nature Reserve will be open to the public today before it shuts for the summer season.

Family activities will be held at the nature reserve today between 10am and 4pm.

A 90-minute guided tour will include nature activities for children and exploration within the reserves. Activity timings are on from: 10 to 11.30am; 11.30am to 1pm; 1 to 2.30pm; and 2.30 to 4pm.

Bookings can be done by e-mail to events@birdlifemalta.org and should include name and contact number, session, the number of people in the group, number of children and their age.

Besides nature-related activities for children, this is also a good time to see baby birds with little chicks around the reserves which people can try to spot. One can also find moorhens, little ringed plovers and the black-winged stilts.
