Malta-Gozo tunnel link (1)
A tunnel to link Malta and Gozo, as suggested recently by a businessman, must be preferred to an airport, which would be a waste of land unless it is like Gibraltar’s.
The late Bro. Leo Barrington, principal of the Teachers’ College at St Julians, had made the same suggestion, arguing that a tunnel would be cheaper to maintain than a bridge. May I add that in inclement weather it would be safer too.
This proposal should not be shelved again but studied as it is a constructive one.

Goodbye Gozo as we/you know it. You are one of the last civilized places in the world that was not yet overcome by the superfluous rat race out there. If you can only appreciate all the scenic beauty, the tranquility, the quaint-ness of the old villages and the size of your population, you would realize the little gem that you live in, in the Mediterranean (more so then Malta). But alas,
we are all restless and want what we think is better - only to wish back what we gave away once it's too late. So sad!

If there is a tunnel to be built it should be under the Kappara roundabout .This will solve all the traffic problems at that area.

Indeed it should be dealt with seriously ,as while us Maltese enjoy crossing by ferry & consider it a pleasant journey, it is unfair on the many Gozitans who study/work in Malta, for these fellow citizens crossing is a hardship they have endured throughtout the years, not to mention when we have bad weather conditions & services of the ferry are suspended.
