A Serbian security unit was searching the Belgrade home of war crimes suspect Ratko Mladic yesterday.
Serbia’s war crimes prosecutor office said the raid on the house where Mr Mladic’s son and wife live is part of efforts to track down the genocide suspect.
It is the third such search of the house in three years.
The former Bosnian Serb army commander is wanted by the UN war crimes tribunal for war crimes committed by his troops during Bosnia’s 1992-95 war. He has been on the run since being indicted by the court in 1995.
Serbia must arrest Mr Mladic if it wants to move closer to EU membership.
