Vodafone Malta helps customers in Egypt

Vodafone Malta has topped up the credit of all its customers who are currently in Egypt. The company had about 50 customers in Egypt.

The mobile service provider said it was concerned that due to current events in Egypt these customers would have difficulty topping up.

Vodafone Malta stated that in circumstances such as this one it is the well-being of its customers which is of paramount importance.

All customers who had their credit topped-up were informed via SMS.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Group made it clear that the authorities in Egypt had the technical capability to close the company’s mobile network in that country.

Vodafone was instructed to suspend services in selected areas, but voice services were then restored.
