Joseph Calleja shooting Decca promotional video in Malta

Joseph Calleja and Decca Classic have started the shooting in Malta of a promotional video for the tenor's new CD called The Maltese Tenor.

Film shooting took place at the Manoel Theatre courtyard this morning, but the production will also feature St John's Co-Cathedral, Dwejra and Ggantija in what should be valuable publicity for Malta.

Calleja said he had lobbied for the promotional video to be shot in Malta after Decca showed a preference for New York.

The three-minute clip will be shown worldwide on television and online as from May.

Most definitely well said, Mr. Edwin de Marco. Tenor Joseph Calleja has such a unique voice. Full and sharp yet somehow smooth and precise. He really must take great care of his unique natural talent. Thank you one again to Tenor Joseph Calleja for promoting Malta too. The Maltese Tenor, indeed.
