The government will next week issue €120 million worth of stocks with an over-allotment option of an additional €80 million.

The stocks will be issued on February 14 and include a 4.25 per cent Malta Government Stock 2017(III) and a 5.25 per cent Malta Government Stock 2030 (I) fungibility issue, or any combination of the two stocks, which, in the aggregate, amount to €120 million.

The price will be established on Wednesday through the Malta Stock Exchange and published in the newspapers and through an official government statement.

Applications open February 14 and close on February 16 in the case of single and or joint bids, which do not exceed €100,000 per person, and on February 18 at 12 noon for applications in the form of sealed bids (auction).

Application forms can be obtained from and filed at all members of the Malta Stock Exchange and other authorised investment service providers. The forms can also be downloaded from the Treasury website at www.treasury.gov.mt as of from February 11.
