More than 6,000 kilos of citrus fruit were sold today in the popular Festa tac-Citru held by the Community Chest Fund in the private gardens of San Anton Palace.

Visitors were able to go around the gardens and the orange grove or enjoy food prepared by the Palace kitchen and sold from various stands.

An entertainment programme was laid on.

President George Abela mingled with the crowds.

The event was held to raise funds for Dar tal-Providenza. Director Fr Martin Micallef made a brief address where he thanked visitors for their generosity.
