Apart from all the negative social repercussions of divorce legislation, which will, hopefully, be fully dealt with by the newly-formed anti-divorce movement, the fact that Malta’s 70 parish priests are “fully behind” this new anti-divorce movement, as reported in The Times of January 13, should, in my opinion, amply show the way to all true Catholics on how they should vote inan eventual decision-making process for or against the introduction of divorce in ourcountry.

I say this in case one is still unconvinced after the very clear anti-divorce stance taken by our bishops in their earlier pastoral letter on the topic and, of course, most important of all, the very clear condemnation of divorce by Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself in the Gospels.
