• The Feast of St John Bosco is being celebrated at the Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria today. The vicar general, Mgr Giovanni Gauci, will lead a High Mass at 9 a.m., followed by the blessing of pets at St Augustine Square. Lunch will be held at the Calypso Hotel at 12.15 p.m.

A procession with the statue of Don Bosco in Victoria, accompanied by La Stella Band, will be held at 5 p.m. The Gozo Youth Wind Band will give a concert at the oratory’s theatre hall at 7.30 p.m.

• A car boot sale, organised by the Friends of the Sick and the Elderly in Gozo, will be held at the football ground in Victoria today between8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Car space is €10.

• The annual general meeting of the Gozo Amateur Radio Society will be held at the Victoria Scout Group headquarters, St Domenica Street, Victoria, today at 10 a.m. All arewelcome.

• Nadur archpriest Jimmy Xerri will celebrate Mass at San Blas Boċċi Pitch, Nadur, today at 10 a.m. in honour of San Blas. There willalso be a candle celebration andthe blessing of animals and farmproduce.

• Mgr Joe Vella Gauci will lead a concelebrated Mass at Ta’ Savina church, Victoria today at 5 p.m. to mark the Holy Eucharist feast.

• The Victoria council will hold its annual general meeting tomorrow at 7 p.m. All residents are welcome.

• Gozo Tourism Association secretary Joe Muscat will deliver a lecture on Għawdex, destinazzjoni b’valur miżjud at Tiġrija Palazz Complex on Saturday at 9 a.m. A discussion will follow.

• A presentation of babies and children, led by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech, will be held at Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary on Saturday at 4.30 p.m.
