HP unveiled new offerings designed to help retailers meet the needs of shoppers in multichannel retailing environments.
The products include the HP LD4210 Digital Signage Display 107-cm (diagonal) screen, the HP Imaging Barcode Scanner, the Hybrid Receipt Printer with MICR and a new independent software vendor (ISV) program for large retailers in the enterprise digital signage
The company said its latest commercial-grade LD4210 Digital Signage Display is slimmer, sleeker and more powerful than ever. It features an Ethernet port and network sign manager software that enable centralised management of one or more displays.
The Imaging Barcode Scanner is broadly functional, featuring 1-D and 2-D omni-directional barcode scanning, mobile device scanning and the ability to capture images.
Exceptional multi-function printing
The Hybrid POS Printer with MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) is an ultra-reliable, multifunctional thermal receipt and impact slip printer ideal for retail environments that require receipt printing and cheque validation or the ability to print on multiple forms such as coupons and returns. This means retailers can reduce cheque fraud and increase transaction time with the Hybrid POS Printer with MICR.
The company said the new ISV program expands the retail solutions market for larger retailers and helps software companies succeed by assisting with business and technical challenges.
Program participants, including retail point of sale, digital signage and in-store media software companies, provide certified hardware configurations optimised for smooth and reliable operation. The program is managed through a specialised implementation of HP’s global AllianceOne program, and software companies work jointly with HP’s technical, marketing and regional sales organisations to serve customers.
