In Malta and Gozo there were 1,190 people who declared that they earned more than €75,000 a year, Finance Minister Tonio Fenech told Parliament. Answering a question by Anthony Agius Decelis (PL), the minister laid on the Table of the House a list of 64,249 people who earned more than €15,000.
It shows that there were 29,134 who earned between €15,000 and €20,000; 10,878 between €20,001 and €23,000; 5,008 between €23,001 and €25,000; 3,565 between €25,001 and €27,000; 4,141 between €27,001 and €30,000; 3,982 between €30,001 and €35,000; 2,137 between €35,001 and €40,000; 1,267 between €40,001 and €45,000; 913 between €45,001 and €50,000; 623 between €50,001 and €55,000; 472 between €55,001 and €60,000; 440 between €60,001 and €65,000; 279 between €65,001 and €70,000; 220 between €65,001 and €75,000 and 1,190 over €75,000.
