Global Finance magazine has named HSBC Bank Malta Best Trade Finance Bank in Malta for 2011, for the second consecutive year.
The magazine has named the best trade finance providers by category in an exclusive survey which will be published in the February issue.
With input from industry analysts, corporate executives and technology experts, Global Finance editors selected the best trade finance providers in 71 countries. Criteria for choosing the winners included transaction volume, scope of global coverage, customer service, competitive pricing and innovative technologies.
Each year, Global Finance selects the best financial institutions around the world and these awards have become a recognised and trusted standard of excellence.
“The availability of trade finance at reasonable prices is crucial to the health of the global economy,” Global Finance publisher and president Joseph D. Giarraputo said.
“We have selected the banks that are best serving the needs of corporations worldwide as they engage in cross-border trade.”
HSBC Bank Malta chief executive Alan Richards said the bank had continued to support customers and the local economy during the challenging economic crises of the last years. The bank was delighted to see this support publicly recognised through the award by Global Finance.
