A man has been awarded more than €73,000 in damages over injuries he sustained in a traffic accident in 2008.
James Spiteri was driving along Aldo Moro Street, Marsa in the direction of Valletta when a vehicle driven by Joseph Magro crashed into his car.
Both Mr Magro and his insurance company accepted responsibility for the accident but no agreement was reached over the amount of compensation to be paid.
The court-appointed experts concluded that Mr Spiteri had a 44 per cent permanent disability.
Mr Justice Lino Farrugia Sacco, sitting in the First Hall of the Civil Court, therefore, awarded Mr Spiteri €73,192.68 in damages.
