A man who was injured in a traffic accident just over two years ago has been awarded over €73,000 in damages by a court. James Spiteri had filed his action for damages against Joseph Magro.
Mr Spiteri told the court that he had been driving in Aldo Moro Street, Marsa towards Valletta when a vehicle driven by Mr Magro crashed into his car. Both Mr Magro and his insurance company accepted responsibility for the accident, however they did not agree about the quantum of damages.
The court-appointed experts concluded that Mr Spiteri had a 44 per cent permanent disability. The court then awarded Mr Spiteri €73,192.68 in damages.
