Robert Camilleri requested information on the building known as Wied Musa Battery or II-Palazz tal-Marfa (Beautiful Building On The Way To Ċirkewwa, January 14).

Originally, the building was a battery consisting of a semi-circular gun platform with four embrasures. An inn dating from the 19th century was later added to the original structure which dates back to the early 1700s. This building, which is on the antiquities protection list, and the old pier which is also rich in maritime history and equally in dire need of attention, are the two most prominent landmarks of the picturesque locality of Marfa.
