Junior Chamber International (JCI) Malta has embarked on a project entitled Political DAYS (Developing an Active Youth Society), aimed at empowering people, especially youths, to take an active part in politics.
JCI felt the need to start addressing the issue after figures showed fewer youths are interested in politics, and political parties are encountering difficulties to find new recruits.
In this regard, the project’s aim is to provide participants non-partisan training and hands-on experience in order to enable them to be more politically active.
It will include training, workshops and practical sessions related to public speaking, public relations, communication skills, diplomacy, political ideologies, and history.
These will be delivered by various speakers who are experts in these respective areas.
All training will be given free of charge and is open to the public.
The project is funded by the EU’s Youth in Action programme and will be held over a period of two months.
