The votive statue of St Andrew, which dominates Xlendi Bay, is being given a facelift by the Projects and Development Department of the Gozo Ministry in collaboration with Munxar council. The statue, inaugurated by Gozo Bishop Giovanni Maria Camilleri in 1882, was fully restored in 2005.
