Pink magazine’s all-female ShowStopper team went out into the backstreets of Valletta for this month’s fashion photo shoot, showing hidden details of the capital that may go by unnoticed and making it look like a foreign place.
Street Life, as the shoot was titled, took advantage of the bargains left on the shop shelves in sale time to create an eclectic, anything-goes look, which model Beverly, with her red hair and girlie looks, pulled off well.
The styling was based on a mishmash of textures and feels, marrying party frocks with woollen jumpers and sequins dresses with thick socks, and the overall image was ultra feminine.
Photographer Alexandra Pace, who has a penchant for photographing Valletta and captures on film what others tend to ignore, had a field-day playing with the unexpected props that entered her frame, from a bright orange moped to a old, run-down Anglia, a lazy cats and a colourful washing line.
The Pink photo shoot is styled by Fiona Galea Debono and Marisa Grima, while hair is by Lara Steer and make-up by Shasha.
Pink is distributed today with The Times.
