Recent advances in communication systems have given several possibilities to speak to and even see other persons in countries around the world. This drastic change has helped to reduce the familiar isolation between families who for various reasons had to emigrate.
Wi-Fi is being installed in prominent public areas. The service is even provided at Mater Dei Hospital’s Outpatients Department. This modern facility could easily be installed in homes for the elderly in order to improve upon existing means of communication.
