A 79-year-old man died after apparently slipping into sea and drowning off Pembroke yesterday afternoon.

The man’s body was found close to the Reverse Osmosis plant at around 2.30 p.m. by a passer-by who informed the Civil Protection Department.

The elderly man’s car was parked nearby. Foul play has been ruled out, the police said.
