A series of visits to churches to inform the public about the ‘Say No to Racism’ campaign begins today at San Ġorg church in Qormi.

People attending 10.30 a.m. Mass will be able to meet and talk with immigrants and refugees before and after the service.

“We strongly believe that when people communicate, many of the barriers and misconceptions start breaking down and racist ideas can be tackled and challenged,” the Migrants Solidarity Movement said in a statement.

Forthcoming campaign activities include a street parade against racism in Valletta as well as a concert.

‘Say No to Racism’ is a coalition of NGOs, students, academics, writers, lecturers, immigrants and artists united against racism.
