Gaulitanus choir, Russian singers in concert

The Gaulitanus choir, in collaboration with the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, presented a concert featuring a group 14 singers from the Galina Vishnevskaya Operatic Academy of Moscow at the Gozo Ministry in Victoria.

The concert was also held in honour of Russian operatic diva Galina Vishnevskaya, who celebrated her 85th birthday.

The singers performed a variety of works, ranging from Russian opera to western opera, Russian folk, Neapolitan songs as well as Russian Christmasnumbers.

The Gaulitanus choir provided a curtain raiser to the concert by singing works from their lively Christmas secular repertoire, under the direction of Colin Attard.
