Hundreds of people gathered outside the Health Ministry today to check their health status before getting on with the day.

There were long queues of people waiting to check their blood pressure and blood glucose and rooms of professionals dishing out health advice as part of events marking Health Day.

In one room people were able to undergo a breast screening examination, in another people were being checked for glaucoma.

There even was an indoor gym, and the Malta Climbing Club organised abseiling down the building into the courtyard.

A Zumba class was held in the street, and an emergency simulation was carried out for all to see the work of the Civil Protection Department.
