It a shame that there is still these type of persons , if you can call them like this , around .... For sure this does'nt stop our work ... in near future the trees stolen will be replaced by new ones ... I like to thank my employers Baxter Malta for the help they gave our locality and for acccepting to plant these olive trees in our beloved locality

Maybe the Maltese expression "Anqas zejt f'wicchom m'ghandhom (they don't even have oil in their face") fits appropriately and they stole the trees to have some olive oil to dab on their face.

Nice observation Paul Debattista ... ironically, the area is known as "tal-Karnival" - vera karnival dawn in-nies! Ghall-inqas tghallmu iktbu il-kelma "misthija".

I gave an olive tree as a birthday gift back in October 2008. However, it was stolen after just a few weeks. The (Naxxar) Local Council gently replaced it with another one. Obviously, it was stolen too..

I hope that who ever took the olive trees will plant them instead of the new parliament for better use.Anyway they will not miss it now with the new double salary.
