Neil Abela on behalf of his wife Alberta and their son Jake, yesterday planted a tree at Ta’ Qali. It is the 100,000th tree planted in the 34U campaign and one of 40,000 donated by families to mark important occasions like births, graduations, weddings and anniversaries. The other 60,000 trees were planted by companies and institutions. The Environmental Landscapes Consortium yesterday presented Resources and Rural Affairs Minister George Pullicino with a cheque to plant 5,000 trees.
