Goodbye Charlie Harper

It is truly the end of an era.

For years on end, I have been opting to pay for one of the more expensive of the Melita packages just because it contained my favourite channels: Living, and, more importantly, Comedy Central.

No great intellectual loss, certainly, but every evening we looked forward to unwinding, relaxing and mindlessly watching one of Charlie Harper’s latest escapades or a stand-up comedian who would end our day on a much- needed stressless note. Now that Comedy Central has been taken off the air, let’s see, what should we watch to relax us in the evenings?

Maybe some heart-warming tale of ice road trucking or an out-of-this-world psychic detective or maybe Dr G would entertain us with one of her side-splitting autopsies. Just the thing to help us drift off to a restful sleep – or maybe not.

Come on Melita, how about a light-hearted, entertaining channel to replace those taken off air? Give us something to smile about.
