Volksbank customers and staff support Sliema Ursuline Crèche

Just before Christmas, Volksbank Malta organised an evening of traditional Austrian Christmas songs for customers, business partners, employees and their families. The event, which took place at the Salesian Theatre in Sliema, was very well attended.

After the concert, the bank asked for a donation in aid of the Ursuline Crèche in Sliema.

“Volksbank regularly supports charitable institutions, and especially at Christmas time we want to give something to the less fortunate people”, Noel Paris, finance acquisition manager, explained.

At the Crèche, which is in the direct neighbourhood of the bank, the Ursuline Sisters take care of 50 children up to the age of four.

“This year, our staff decided to collect money for these young children, who for some reason cannot live with their families,” Mr Paris said.

“With the donations made at the Christmas concert, the contributions of my colleagues and the money put in the donation box at the branch we collected almost € 800 for the children, which were handed over to Sr. Assunta last week.”
