These include the:

  • Upgrading and introduction of various equipment;

The airport said in a statement that it was collaborating with the Office of the Manager Airport Security in the investigation of a passenger who allegedly travelled from Malta to Rome on December 23, and was purportedly found in possession of two knives at Fiumicino Airport.

It said it took its security operations very seriously and was fully committed to continue adopting all the necessary measures to ensure that passengers’ welfare was safeguarded at all times.
