Milan’s out of favour strikerRonaldinho is set to sign for Flamengo, after days of negotiations in his native Brazil, reports said last night.
The news was set to be confirmed last night by the club and Ronaldinho’s manager, Roberto de Assis, newspaper O Dia said.
The 30-year-old Ronaldinho was expected to sign a three-and-a-half year copntract with a monthly salary of nearly 900,000 dollars.
Milan’s vice president, Adriano Galliani, had said Saturday after talks with Flamengo president Patricia Amorim that there was a “99.9 per cent chance” that Ronaldinho would sign with the Rio side.
Two other clubs who had been wooing Ronaldinho, Gremio and Palmeiras, said they had called off negotiations in frustration with Assis, whom they claimed had agreed to deals before reneging and asking for more money.
