Manchester United will travel to Southampton in the fourth round of the FA Cup following their 1-0 victory against arch-rivals Liverpool yesterday.
The draw, made minutes after full-time at Old Trafford, means Southampton, who saw off Blackpool 2-0 on Saturday, will again face Premier League opposition in what is sure to be a nostalgic tie for the south coast club.
Southampton, then in the old Second Division, caused one of the great Wembley upsets by beating Manchester United 1-0 in the 1976 FA Cup final.
Meanwhile, there could be as many as five all-Premier League ties with Fulham facing Tottenham, Bolton drawn at Wigan, Aston Villa facing Blackburn and Chelsea travelling to Everton after beating Ipswich.
Wolves will play Stoke if the clubs win their replays against Doncaster and Cardiff respectively.
Third division Stevenage, who caused the upset of the third round by beating Newcastle 3-1 on Saturday, are at home to Championship side Reading while Birmingham play Coventry in a Midlands derby.
Fourth round draw
Torquay vs Crawley or Derby; Watford vs Brighton; Bolton vs Wigan; Arsenal or Leeds vs Huddersfield; Fulham vs Tottenham; Everton vs Chelsea; Southampton vs Manchester United;
Swansea vs Leyton Orient; Burnley vs Burton Albion; Birmingham vs Coventry; Doncaster or Wolves vs Stoke or Cardiff; Notts County vs Leicester or Manchester City;
Stevenage vs Reading; Aston Villa vs Blackburn Rovers; West Ham vs N. Forest; Sheffield Wednesday vs Wycombe or Hereford.
Ties to be played on the weekend of January 29-30.
