The University Institute of Criminology and the Malta Police Force have signed a memorandum of under-

standing to establish and pro-mote strong links between academic research and the dissemination of knowledge.

The agreement is intended to enhance police training and practice.

The agreement includes provisions for the development and promotion of co-operation in the study of criminal justice and policing, including the possible introduction of a BA (Hons) in Policing, in addition to the existing BA (Hons) in Criminology.

The agreement also promotes collaboration between the two parties with regard to design, development and implementation of police academic programmes.
