Malta’s 24 finalists for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest festival in Germany were announced yesterday.

The 24 songs will compete in the preliminary televised show on February 11, when 16 songs will advance to the final on February 12. A professional jury and public vote will decide upon Malta’s entry.

The songs will be aired for the first time on PBS on Friday.

Last year, Malta was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest by Thea Garrett with the song My Dream. However, the entry failed to make it past the semi-final.
