Bogliasco hammered bottom-of-the-table RN Imperia 14-5 in their first match after the Christmas break.

Steve Camilleri, who earlier this week surprisingly failed to make the shortlist of five finalists for the Malta Sportsman of the Year award for 2010, scored a further three goals to boost his tally to 20, one fewer than club’s best scorer so far, Heiko Nossek. The latter was four times on the mark against Imperia.

Bogliasco won all four sessions (4-2, 3-1, 4-1, 3-1), Camilleri scoring two in the first and another in the last quarter.

Bogliasco now occupy seventh place with the same number of points as sixth-placed Camogli on 14. Camogli have a better goal difference.

Brixia Leonessa, who lie fourth in the standings with 22 points, are Bogliasco’s next opponents on January 15.
