First of all i would like to congradulate the Malta Motorsport Federation for the accomplishment of Mr.Todts visit to Malta.
It is only common and sensible to say that these nominations are truely being chosen with no valid criterias. How may anyone inform me of how a world record is not a nomination, how is a european record not a nomination, how is a team with so many accomplishments in a short period of time not a nominee, how is a junior whom coompeted in two world finals not a nominee, further what about the others. I may say if one views the statistics Maltese Motorsport has brought more sucess to our country in the last 5 years than any other sports.
I am willing to meet any personell for further discussion and may contact me on 99087975.
This is a moment to remember the highest person in the motoring world is coming to Malta for the National Sports awards and to present them and there is no one in Motorsports.
This is another impression for the FIA.

I am really surprised that no one from the Motorsport sector has made it to the Final among those nominated for the Sportsman and Official of the Year in this year’s Sports Awards edition. Although Maltese Motorsport personnel have registered European and World records I am afraid that their acheivments are not yet acknowledged by many in our island.
Well Done Malta Motorsport Federation, who with the cooperation of Kunsill Malti ghal iSport and Association of Sport Journalists have made it possible to bring over such a High Profiled person in FIA, Mr Jean Todt.

It is a very shame that the FIA president is going to be in Malta and the Malta Motorsport Federation does not take the opportunity to present a lifetime award to 2 maltese citizens who have worked hard to achive what we have now in the Malta motorsport sector. These 2 people in my opinion are Mr.Alfred Farrugia and Mr.Jojo Martin,so please Mr.Tonio Cini you still have the chance to give these 2 people what they merit before it would be too late.

Dear Mr. Martin, I wish to thank you for your comment and your kind words. May I point out that what I did when I was leading the efforts of the Malta Automobile and Cycle Racing Association (MACRA), could not have been done were it not for the financial backing of the late Captain Anthony Spiteri and his associates, as well as a dedicated group of friends who worked tirelessly within the committee for the good and promotion of motor sports in Malta.
It is my understanding that the FIA President Jean Todt is coming to Malta on the initiative of the MMF, which deserves the appropriate credit, while the Malta Touring Club, which is also a member of the FIA has similarly invited Jean Todt to visit Malta.
I wish to suggest that if time will permit, the MMF could try to accompany Jean Todt to visit the motor sports venues at Ta' Qali and Hal Far so that the FIA might possibly assist the relevant clubs and the MMF to improve the current facilities and develop new ones.

As avid follower of Ferrari I wish to say a Big Well Done for bringing such a High Profiled person in Malta especially to Malta Motor Sport Federation, the Maltese Sports Council and Sports Journalist Association.
Well done and keep up the Good Work.

I have just read Alfred Farrugia's comment and agree entirely with his view that Lucas Pace should certainly be in those awards somewhere. The same applies for the Maltese drivers who have done so well abroad. Joshua Anastasi won his class in the Sicilian Circuit Racing Championship last year, but of course nobody batted an eyelid, and now Alan Curmi has done the same this year. Both drivers are members of Grimaldi Team Malta.
May I take this opportunity to congratulate these Maltese heroes myself, seeing as the local sporting authorities just aren't interested.

100% agree.....
but unfortunately we always see the same names year in year out ! Can i ask what William Chetcuti has done successfully this past year ? or Andre Schembri ? but if we dont include football we dont organize this event !

Is it not strange that the organizers of these awards invite the FIA President for the award ceremony and not a single motor sports representative has been nominated among the finalists
for any award?
What happened to the nomination of Lucas Pace? There are other drivers and officials who should have been nominated! Which sports disciplines get the same good results as our drivers in foreign events?
Are the authorities concerned and the KMS going to show their plans to Mr. Jean Todt for a motor racing circuit in Malta during his visit?
