A 44-year-old construction worker was critically injured in a fall this afternoon, the police said.

The incident happened at about 12.55 p.m. at St Joseph Street, Zabbar.

The worker, who is from Birkirkara, fell a height of one storey. He was rushed to hospital in an ambulance.

An inquiry is being conducted by Magistrate M Farrugia.
