Liquigas announced its January LPG gas prices today. Although the prices show an increase, the popular 12kg cylinder is still €1.30c cheaper than the official maximum price announced by the Malta Resources Authority.

The company said that International prices of LPG continued to rise in December 2010 when the current stock of gas was purchased.

Liquigas also announced that it has further extended its fixed point of sales schedule, operational up to 31 March 2011, by adding another four sessions to its extensive points of sale network covering 25 different points.

The additions are on Mondays at Zabbar (St Mary Str), on Tuesdays at Qormi (near Shopwise), on Wednesdays at Zebbug (Mdina Rd near St Dorothy’s) and on Thursdays at Rabat (Museum Str). All four new points of sale sessions will be held between 16.00hrs and 18.00hrs, bringing the total of point of sales sessions to 53 per week across Malta.

At present, apart from Liquigas Office, Gas Division at Qajjenza, LPG cylinders can be purchased from St George’s Bay - Birzebbuga, Birkirkara, Bormla, Burmarrad, Fgura, Gudja, Hamrun, Kirkop, Marsa, Msida, Mosta, Naxxar, Paola, Qormi, Rabat, Siggiewi, Sta Lucija, Sta Venera, St Andrews, Tarxien, Zebbug, Zabbar and Zejtun.

LPG cylinders distributors will be available at these localities during various times, including Saturdays between 8am and 11am. For further information regarding the nearest point of sale.
