The Malta-China Friendship Society will be organising an asian buffet dinner at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, Floriana, on January 15. The guest of honour at the dinner will be Chinese Ambassador Zhang Keyuan.

The dinner is being organised to commemorate the 39th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Malta and China in January 1972.

The Malta China Friendship Society was set up by the former Labour Minister Reno Calleja. Originally set up to promote cultural exchanges, the society today helps the local business community promote trade and investments between the two countries.
