Motorists at Ghadira looked on incredulously this morning as 'the three kings' on horseback made their way slowly along the road.

They were heading for Bethlehem f'Ghajnsielem, the nativity village in Gozo, bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

The 'kings' or wise men, set off from Mellieha Old People's Home for Mellieha Square, where they met 'King Herod' before slowing winding their way to the Gozo and on to Ghajnsielem.

They are due to make their entrance at the nativity village, at 4 p.m.

The activity was held jointly by Mellieha and Ghajnsielem councils and concluded the activities related to Bethlehem f'Ghajnsielem, which every year draws thousands of visitors.
