A 75-year-old man was critically injured this morning when he was hit by a car in Constitution Avenue, Mosta.

The accident happened shortly after 6 a.m. as he crossed the road.

The car, a Ford Escort, was being driven y a 29-year-old man from Rabat.

The injured man, who is from Mosta, is in intensive care at Mater Dei Hospital.
