AGIUS. On December 30, HILDA née Laferla, widow of Henry, aged 93, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving children Monica, Maureen and her husband Joseph Camilleri, Carmel and his wife Rose, Godfrey and his wife Maryanne, and Henri, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother Victor and his wife May, her sister-in-law Margaret widow of her brother Alfred, her in-laws Salvino, Anthony and Rose Griffiths, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Hospital on Monday at 1.30 p.m. for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family wishes to thank the nurses and carers who looked after her with loving care. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
FALZON. On December 31, at Mater Dei Hospital, ESTHER, née Cauchi, widow of Francis Anthony, of Valletta, aged 94, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Michael and his wife Mary Anne, George and his wife Josette of UK, John and his wife Lilian of Australia, Marisa of UK, Alex and his wife Victoria and Martin, her grandchildren David and Stephanie, Greg and Jenny, Mark and Kelly, Stephanie, Kenneth and Kumi, Katya and Ben, Gillian and Brent, Dustan and Carla, her great-grandchildren Riku, Kira, Marisa and Christy, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. SPITERI. On December 31, at Karin Grech Hospital, ex-Police Superintendent, JOHN, of Rabat, aged 97, widower of Carmen, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children Lina, Tony and his wife Yvonne, Vincent and his wife Elizabeth, his adorable grandchildren Janica, Nathan, Rohan and his wife Rebecca, Kyle, his brother-in-law Ignatius Azzopardi, his in-laws, nephews, nieces, other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital on Monday at 2.30 p.m. for St Paul’s parish church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Margherita Cemetery, Rabat. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement, Balzan, will be appreciated. The members of the family regret they are unable to receive visitors.
