Enemalta's deputy chairman William Spiteri Bailey has been appointed acting chairman as from tomorrow.

He will retain this position until a new chairman is appointed.

Edmund Gatt Baldacchino had been appointed acting chairman on a temporary basis on June 1.

His appointment had followed the resignation of Alex Tranter.

Finance Minister Tonio Fenech thanked Mr Gatt Baldacchino for his dedication and efforts on Enemalta's board of directors throughout the past five years, first as a member, eventually as a deputy chairman and finally as acting chairman.
