Local charities benefit from HSBC Vodafone Export & Innovation Awards

Each of the four winners of the HSBC Vodafone Export & Innovation Awards 2010 have been presented with a cheque for €1,000 each to be donated to a charity of their choice.

During a presentation ceremony held at HSBC Business Centre in Qormi, Richard Cottell, head of commercial banking at HSBC Malta, said: “It is a great pleasure to be able to support such worthy causes, and I know on behalf of all the winners, that we take our collective corporate social responsibility very seriously.”

Mr Cottell concluded by thanking the winners and congratulating them once again on their achievement. He hoped that other Maltese businesses would be inspired by the winning companies, and encouraged them to apply for next years awards that will be launched in March 2012.

The list of winners are the following:

Annual Turnover of more than €10 million:

Most Improved Corporate Exporter: Medserv plc.

Most Innovative Corporate Enterprise: Carlo Gavazzi Limited.

Annual Turnover of less than €10 million:

Most Improved SME Exporter: ISTC Limited.

Most Innovative SME Business: ICP Limited.
