ATTARD GLIVAU. On December 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL, of Vittoriosa but residing in Birżebbuġa, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Imelda, his sons Lawrence, and Mario and his wife Moira, his grandchildren Kyle and Nicole, his sister Maria and nieces Margaret and her husband Martin, Anna and her husband Victor, Rosette and Marie, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.45 p.m. for St Peter’s parish church, Birżebbuġa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BRIFFA. On December 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, Sister CONSIGLIA, aged 80, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her Mother Superior, the nuns of the Missionary Congregation of Jesus of Nazareth, Żejtun, her sister Ġuża and her husband David Spanjol, Mary, widow of her brother Carmelo, and Maria, widow of her brother Emanuel, nephews and nieces, including Fr Salvinu Spanjol, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 3 p.m. for the chapel at Jesus of Nazareth Institute, Żejtun, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment at St Gregory Cemetery. GAUCI. On December 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, GUDITTA, née Zammit of Valletta, aged 94, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Charles and his wife Lourdes, Mary and her husband Orazio Costanzo, Anthony, Joe, Rita and her husband Renè Vanderwied, Vincent and his wife Rosette, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Theresa, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for St Lawrence Collegiate parish church, Vittoriosa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at St Lawrence parish cemetery, Vittoriosa. VICTOR, aged 83, widower of Maria née Micallef, former assistant director at the Department of Information and broadcaster, passed away at Villa Messina, Rabat, comforted by the rites of Holy Church and with the deep belief of eternal life through Christ our Saviour. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Maryrose, Anthony and Veronica, John and Marianne, Bernadette, Anna and her partner Anthony, Jacqueline and Joseph, Joseph and Elaine, his grandchildren Mark, Maria, Francesca, Clare, Andrew, Nathan and Liam, Jacqueline, Katrina, Claudia, Daniel, Maria, Jacob and Francesca, his brother Anthony, his sister Mary, nephews, nieces and in-laws. The funeral will leave Villa Messina in Rabat tomorrow at 8 a.m. and Mass will be held at St Mary parish church in Birkirkara at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. MAE CACHIA. Her children Grace Ann, Robert and his wife JoAnn, together with her surviving brothers, sisters and their spouses would like to thank all those who in any way contributed towards her well-being over the years. Special thanks also go to whoever participated at her funeral, sent flowers, and conveyed sympathy at her loss. Mae is now enjoying her well deserved peace. Please remember her in your prayers.
