Malta-bound mail stuck in Frankfurt and London

Some Malta-bound mail from various countries has withheld in London and Frankfurt airports, Maltapost said.

It said in a statement that this was mainly due to the disruption in services caused by the severe weather conditions in the UK and central Europe over the past days.

MaltaPost is anticipating that the situation returns to normal next week, depending on the ability of the various foreign post offices to collect, transport and process mail.

There may also be mail that left Malta but which is still to be received by the recipients for the same reason, it said.
