The Concerto di Natale, filmed at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta, will be broadcast on the Italian TV Channel Rai Due tomorrow.

The Maltese can spend their Christmas Eve reviewing the show they enjoyed or watching what they missed out on.

The show features Grammy Award-winner Al Jarreau, Skunk Anansie, with their celebrated singer Skin, rock artist Irene Grandi, Gigi D’Alessio, Emma Marrone, winner of the ninth edition of Amici, the New York State Gospel Choir and Maltese soprano Maria Abela, among others, who thrilled audiences with the perfect pre-Christmas tunes when the show was filmed.

Voices and a choir of children under the direction of soprano Gillian Zammit also took part in the concert.

Italian TV presenter Mara Venier hosted the charity show for the fourth consecutive year and Renato Serio conducted the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.

As in previous editions, the Christmas Concert was held for charity: the reconstruction of Salesian schools destroyed by the earthquake in Haiti. The concert is produced by Prime Time Promotions to support the solidarity campaign, Haiti Chiama, promoted by the Don Bosco Foundation Worldwide.

Id-Dar tal-Providenza in Siġġiewi also benefitted from the proceeds.
