A 24-year-old man from Zejtun this morning pleaded not guilty to making two phone calls saying there was a bomb at the law courts on two occasions.

Carlos Falzon, of Zejtun, was charged with making the calls to the police headquarters from a telephone booth outside the law courts on December 10 and yesterday, because he wanted to postpone two separate court hearings which he had.

He also pleaded not guilty to misuse of electronic equipment, filing a false police report, committing a crime in the operative period of a suspended sentence and while under a probation order, relapsing and breaching bail conditions.

He was remanded in custody.
